At Mama Bear and Cubs Cakes, we take great pride in the time and effort we put into creating delicious and beautiful cakes. We also understand the importance of protecting our business and our family, as well as protecting you as our customer. In order to ensure that everyone is happy and safe, we have certain policies in place that we ask all of our customers to follow.
Policies
Booking
Orders placed 60 Days or more out from the pick-up or delivery date, require a 50% deposit in order to book.
Orders placed less than 60 days out from the pick-up or delivery date, require full payment to book.
There will be a $75 rush fee for any orders placed 5 business days or less, from the pick-up date.
Any deposits or payments made, are non-refundable.
Balances
If you have a remaining balance due, this must be paid 2 weeks from the pick-up or delivery date. No exceptions.
**Please keep bank transfer dates in mind. I am not responsible for your bank's processing time. The balance is still due on the original due date. No exceptions.
If your balance is not paid on time, the amount you have paid, will be used as a credit to go towards another order and your current order will be cancelled.
Any deposits or payments made, are non-refundable.
Invoices
Once your order is accepted, you will receive an invoice via email. The deposit or full amount needs to be paid within 24 hours of the invoice being sent out.
If the invoice is not paid within 24 hours, the order will not be booked and that spot will go onto the next customer without notice.
A balance reminder email will be sent out one week before your balance is due. This is done as a courtesy. You are responsible for keeping track of your due date. I will not reach out again if the balance is not paid on time. You have one day after the due date to pay the balance or the order will be cancelled and any amount paid will go towards a future order.
Mama Bear & Cubs Cakes is not responsible for any emails not received or that go to spam. If you're expecting an invoice and do not receive it, it is your responsibility to reach out and let me know you haven't received it. I receive a copy of all invoices that are sent out.
Any deposits or payments made, are non-refundable.
Cancellations
Things happen and we understand!
If for some reason you need to move your order, rescheduling will depend on my availability.
The amount paid and desserts ordered, will be honored for 30 days. After the 30 days, if prices go up, the amount paid will go towards your new order. You have 60 days from the date of the original event, to use your credit. After the 60 days, I will no longer honor the credit and it will be lost.
You may only use your credit for one event, you cannot break it up into different events.
If you cancel your order 5 days or less from the pick-up or delivery date, a credit will not be issued.
Pick-up/Delivery
Pick- up times for weekend orders, are Fridays between 4-6 pm and Saturdays between 9-11 am. An exact pick-up time needs to be established 2 days before your event date. If you have not reached out to schedule a pick-up time, your pick-up will be defaulted to Saturday morning and scheduled around other customers.
I do not offer Sunday pick-ups. If your event is on a Sunday, you will need to arrange for a Friday or Saturday
pick-up.
Delivery is available for an additional fee.
Items are boxed and ready to go, based on the time that has been decided on. There is a 15-minute window from the pick-up time discussed. If you do not arrive within that 15 minutes, you will be charged a $25 fee for the release of your cake.
This is an at-home bakery and our doors are not open like a regular business.
Once your desserts leave our hands, we are no longer responsible for how the items are transported or handled.
Please transport desserts on the CLEAN floor of your vehicle with the AC on.
Caring for your desserts
Please make sure to keep your cakes refrigerated until 1.5-2 hours before serving. Not doing so may result in your cake bulging, decor falling off, and the collapse of your cake.
Bakers have seen far too many disasters from customers leaving their cakes out all day.
Display your desserts in a cool area, out of the sun and away from areas with high traffic from your guests.
